How it works.
We use Alma Harmony XL for light-based hair reduction. Energy absorbed by pigment in the hair is converted to heat, helping damage the follicle and reduce future growth.
The Harmony platform supports AFT intense pulsed light hair-removal applicators. Alma’s SHR (Super Hair Removal) approach uses repeated lower-energy pulses and moving passes to build heat gradually. The installed handpiece and selected mode determine the exact delivery.
Your treatment plan
Your provider confirms preparation, eye protection and aftercare. Tell us about tanning and medications. Six-session packages are purchase options, not guarantees that six visits will complete every treatment.

Gradual energy delivery
SHR stands for Super Hair Removal. Repeated passes gradually build heat around follicles, supporting even coverage and a more comfortable treatment approach. Comfort and response still vary.
Designed around your hair cycle
Only some hairs are in the responsive growth phase at each visit. A series helps target successive cycles, with the aim of less regrowth and less frequent shaving.
Your skin tone matters
Harmony XL offers hair-removal options for a range of skin tones. Your provider checks the installed applicator, your natural pigment, recent tanning and hair color before choosing settings or recommending an alternative.
What makes the platform useful
Selectable treatment settings and different handpieces allow personalized care. Hair reduction, IPL skin treatments and ClearLift use the same platform with different technology configurations.
White, gray and very light hair may respond poorly because there is little pigment to absorb the energy. The goal is long-term hair reduction; ongoing growth or maintenance can occur.
